bear
[edit]Just bear with me. I wrote an extensive article, including links to external reviews, etc., but it was deleted because of an Edit Conflict... very frustrating. I'll rewrite it over the next day or so. Dr-ring-ding 02:34, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- There we go, back on track. In defense of the Kingpins I will say the following: they are among the longest lasting and most popular ska bands in Canada, were signed to Canada's most prestigious ska record label, toured extensively around the world, and performed in concert with some of the most important groups in the business, including the Skatalites and Chris Murray. A google search of "Kingpins Ska" returns 94,700 hits. They're a great band and you should check them out! I will continue to add more details and create a template box + full discography soon. Myspace linking
[edit]Following WP:EL, I have previously deleted the external link to myspace.com, as it is a social networking site, that obliges its users in the ability to host and play music of their own choosing. I'm not going to tag this for urgent help, however until the guidelines change, I believe there should not be the link to the myspace page listed. Btl 23:30, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- I definitely understand your logic on this, but on the other hand their MySpace page is a valuable primary source (it is the only place where you can find the entire history of their membership), and was key to researching that part of the article.Dr-ring-ding 14:32, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
What happened?
[edit]Yesterday, this was an article. Today, the page just displays "{{Infobox musical artist | Name = The Kingpins |." Why? Can this be fixed? G man yo (talk) 11:58, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Okay, nevermind, it has been fixed. It was just a little bug, maybe even one just because of my own browser or computer having problems loading the text. Thanks. G man yo (talk) 11:42, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
