[edit]The Irish Tenors are pretty big. I was surprised that there hasn't been an article about it already. It was originally comprised of two big-namers like John McDermott and Ronan Tynan. I just found that this article was created, so i will immediately supplement with notability sources. -Taco325i 15:52, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that the Irish Tenors are definitely notable. They meet WP:BAND, at the very least "Has been the subject of a half hour or longer broadcast on a national radio or TV network." Their concerts have been broadcast numerous time on PBS. [1] They also have other media coverage: [2] [3] [4] and further google search turns up more. --Aude (talk) 16:37, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Tynan was a relative unknown before the Irish Tenors though his popularity has increased in certain circles over the years. Some background on The Irish Tenors is included in the Wiki bio of Finbar Wright if you need a starting point.--Walknnirishrain (talk) 11:35, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
This page says that John McDermott is Irish/Canadian, yet, the page about said person states that he's Scottish/Canadian. Which of the following is correct? Hughes then invited Canadian/Irish John McDermott to head up the group and he accepted. John Charles McDermott is an Scottish-Canadian tenor best known for his rendition of Danny Boy.--209.244.30.237 (talk) 18:29, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
The article needs to be edited anyway. Tynan has now - as of May 2004 -officially left the group to concentrate on his solo career. Noble Korhedron 22:42, 3 January 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noble Korhedron (talk • contribs)
