A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on August 11, 2006. The text of the entry was: Did you know ...that Brian Killick's novel The Heralds follows the exploits of fictional members of the College of Arms as they vie to be the next Garter Principal King of Arms? | |||||||||||||
Current status: Delisted good article |
I'd never heard of this movie before this bit was added to the article. Any idea if the general idea was pilfered by Killick, or if it is merely a coincidence?--dave-- 18:26, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
GA Pass
[edit]This article meets the criteria for a GA, so I passed it. Itcould use a bit more analysis from book reviews (if any exist) in reputable sources, but it is a good article on an interesting book.--Eva bd 21:28, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Cecil Gascoigne
[edit]The character name "Cecil Gascoigne" may be a play on the family name of the Marquesses of Salisbury, Gascoyne-Cecil. The Marquesses were fairly well known when the book was written, the Third Marquess being the Prime Minister several times and his son being a Minister in the 1950's.

GA Sweeps
[edit]This article has been reviewed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force in an effort to ensure all listed Good articles continue to meet the Good article criteria. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed.
- Fundamentally, the major issue here is that there are no inline citations and no references to reliable external sources.
- In addition, the article has no information on reception, development, beackground etc.
I will check back in no less than seven days. If progress is being made and issues are being addressed, the article will remain listed as a Good article. Otherwise, it may be delisted (such a decision may be challenged through WP:GAR). If improved after it has been delisted, it may be nominated at WP:GAN. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions, and many thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this article thus far.
