There is even press about the web series The haunting of Sunshinegirl here http://www.columbian.com/news/2011/oct/16/sunshines-shadowy-side-vancouver-made-web-series-t/ in addition to the print version. — Nickindie (talk) 03:07, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because is a good example for a web phenomenon since it shows that people regard YouTube videos and vlogs as real and react to them not as fiction but as reality. It also is a good example for the new genre of webfiction being interactive with the viewers. Furthermore it is an example for a new genre that is still in development. It also is notable because of the huge amount of fans and viewers. It has been mentioned in at least two articles by people not involved in the project. — Matthy1974 (talk) 06:38, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Non-admin closure on the AfD
[edit]I've reverted Nathan Johnson's non-admin closure of the AfD - given that there's only on keep vote from a non-single purpose account compared to three delete comments, I feel that a non-admin closure is ill-advised and against policy. This really needs am administrator to make the call. MikeWazowski (talk) 17:37, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
- Admins have no special powers to determine consensus. They only have the ability to delete pages. It's been at AfD for 3 weeks and been re-listed twice. There is no consensus. -Nathan Johnson (talk) 17:53, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Season page
[edit]I'm starting to somewhat lean towards creating a separate page for the series's seasons. This isn't completely unwieldy yet, but it's been running for multiple seasons. I can't tell if the content in the plot section is complete or not. There are 10 seasons listed and there are 13 seasons total (I assume that the found videos and investigation footage are separate), so there's more content to be added. Moving this to a separate page would likely help encourage the addition of slightly more plot information, which can be both good and bad, but the show is still ongoing and at some point it's going to be too bulky for the main article. I'd almost argue that it's slightly too big right now. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:01, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
Cleanup
[edit]I'm cleaning the article to take on some of the issues with sourcing and so on. I've revised the lead since it was a little out of date and I'm going through many of the various sections. I've removed the reception section for now since there wasn't much there that wasn't already in the lead. The fan/viewing reception is already mentioned and I noticed that the critical comment appears to be from a website that is now dead. This wouldn't be a problem except that I get the strong impression that this company is related to the web series itself or has some other form of COI. At the very least I'm worried that it wouldnt' be a RS that would show notability. If I can find coverage for the web series then I'll re-add this. Mostly I want to flesh out the production section since I'm finding enough here and there to merit this being bigger than it is. I also have to say that it looks like McKenzie was not the sole creator of the series, as she co-created it with her mother and Hagen. Per sources like this one, it looks like Hagen came up with the idea first, with the rest of the ideas for the series coming out as a collaborative effort between the three.
