There is a dispute on this particular song, because sessions were cut in L.A. as well as Motown. I am not alone in noting that the sound, instrumentation and production on this song seems spectacularly different from any other by the Supremes. Was all the work done on this song in Los Angeles thrown away? That seems in dispute; there's no dispute that work was done on it later in Detroit.
