[edit]- The title is a parody of the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
- When Milhouse is suspended, Willie walks him through the hall in a parody of Dead Man Walking.
- Homer's statement, "Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays," is a reference to the film Office Space.
- When Lisa takes Ignorital, the songs "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong and "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin play in the background.
- The Blue Danube, by Johann Strauss plays at the end of the episode when Bart and Milhouse turn the school into an ice rink.

Title of the Episode
[edit]The FOX on Demand episode title is listed as "The Good, The Bad And The Drugly," not "Sad," but the show recap on thesimpsons.com has it listed as "Sad". Which one is the official title? Inks.LWC (talk) 04:04, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's still "The Good, The Sad, And The Drugly", as thesimpsons.com is the official website, while Fox only airs the episodes (so the official website would have the correct information, after all the creators are the ones who title the episodes).
