History
[edit]Ths history selection has no references or citations. I think the whole section should be deleted or at least be with warning until whoever added this history gives credit. MortalConviction 22:00, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- The whole article has no citations, save for one. I've tagged the article with {{refimprove}} for that. Rather than delete content, just find a source for it. SchuminWeb (Talk) 23:00, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Martin's Super Markets
[edit]Should a new article be created for Martin's Super Markets? They are a large chain of stores throughout Indiana and Michigan. Then the redirect link could go to a disambiguation page. There is already a sentence on this page that goes to the Martin's Super Markets website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevinmon (talk • contribs) 01:52, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]The map on this page does not show the Giant supermarket in Charlottesville, VA, which I believe is part of the Giant chain discussed in this story. 173.15.198.73 (talk) 13:26, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Ed Denham <edward.denham@gmail.com>
- That's because the Giant stores in Charlottesville are part of Giant-Landover, not Giant-Carlisle. Confused yet? Basically, those Charlottesville stores are part of the Giant that you find mostly in the Washington DC area, which shares a parent company with the Giant discussed here, but is run as a completely separate entity. Map out of date
[edit]The map of store locations that appears in the "corporate box" is very inaccurate and out of date. It doesn't take into consideration the Baltimore Metro area in which Giant is the leading Grocery Store Chain. It also doesn't include the newly opened York, Pennsylvania food distribution warehouse north of the city. Sjkoblentz (talk) 17:22, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Answered my own complaint. Baltimore is part of Giant Landover. Sjkoblentz (talk) 17:23, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

The Giant Company
[edit]There is a clear indication that the company changed the name last year and I found 2 articles (4 and 5) to confirm the change. --Gunkhalve (talk) 22:17, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Controversial Price Tags
[edit]I believe there needs to be a section talking about how CRT (Critical Race Theory) is causing their stores to put labels on products stating which products are Women-, Black-, Asian-Indian-, Hispanic-, LGBT-, Asian-Pacific- or Veteran-Owned.
Volta
[edit]It is worth noting that every Giant store I've seen is equipped with at least two Volta stations.
