Welcome to THE GARAGE
[edit]Hello Editors, I just want to shortly make a note about THE GARAGE and make a case as to our notability.
Yes we really are a real music club like any other only that it is also a youth center by day. We have been covered extensively by our local newspapers and media outlets and I've been trying hard to find whatever archives are left of those recordings for citations. It's been 6-7 years of great achievement for us as a non-profit to have such major influence on 1) recognition of youth and their achievement (musicians, etc) throughout our metropolitan area, 2) influencing the music industry towards grass-roots production and 3) advancing the model of youth involvement throughout the United States. We have been toured by youth centers and programs across the nation and some even in Canada. Certainly the most documentation I have of that are emails sunk into archives. An editor suggested "The Garage" in Glasgow was more "notable" because of certain famous bands in Europe, if this is a crutch then I will immediately grab the names of famous U.S. bands which have played here. I was told a band from Japan came to play here so I am going to research that and get back on the "international acts." Davumaya 13:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- lol at the recent edits of this page, I love it when the French and the "Canadians" gang up on Wikipedia English. Clearly the article has problems and of course I had a conflict of interest at the start as many people who start articles do (otherwise why would you write about it?). But to identify a speedy delete after less than what maybe 10 days of being tagged? That's an abuse of our Wiki process if I ever saw it. Plus the page has gone quite a lengthy process of edits by various editors externally of any of my influence. I will revise the text eventually but damn, no one even notified me as the author. .:DavuMaya:. 05:12, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Article mechanics
[edit](This article is poorly written and full of mechanical errors.
