Daninos

[edit]

How is the surname "Daninos" pronounced?
There is no indication in French Wikipédia either, so I have asked over there as well.
In English, we can't tell whether the possessive should be Daninos's or Daninos' as a consequence.

Russian transcriptions of French names into Russian always go by pronunciation, and not by spelling.
For example, an Englishman named "Albert" is still "Albert" in Russian, but a Frenchman becomes "Alber" in Russian because of the silent 't'.
Russian has Daninos as Данинос, which means that the final 's' is pronounced, assuming the Russians have it correct, and that is likely.
