Mrs. Williams?
[edit]It's been a while since I read Unfinished closely, but I don't remember Mrs Williams being a character in it. What is more, O'Brian killed her off with Diana (Hundred Days, Norton edition p9). If someone finds that she is, in fact, a character, please do put her back in the list, but for the moment I'm removing her. --Badger151 18:30, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- No, you're right here. She died in a carriage accident, along with her companion and Diana. Only Padeen Colman survived. Ivankinsman (talk) 13:31, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- No again, I believe the groom survived; Padeen wasn't on the coach. Paul Magnussen (talk) 17:59, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
HMS Suffolk
[edit]At the end of Blue at the Mizzen, Aubrey is instructed to hoist his flag aboard HMS Implacable. However, in the FUVofJA, it is the HMS Suffolk that is appointed as his flag ship. Ivankinsman (talk) 12:48, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- I know this is a quibble, but since it seems very common in the US, perhaps it's worth mentioning: "HMS" stands for "His (or Her) Majesty's Ship", so it doesn't take a definite article; the ship is just "HMS Suffolk". Paul Magnussen (talk) 15:49, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
two different covers, two images in article?
[edit]The cover shown in the infobox seems to the one from the UK edition. Would it not be appropriate to also show the Norton cover, elsewhere in the article? The back of the dust jacket for the USA edition has an additional sketch by Geoff Hunt, which might also be interesting.
I have not seen the UK edition in person, so I do not know what shows on the back of the dust jacket. My other problem, re covers and images is that I do not know how to get an image into Wikipedia and properly marked for copyright rules, so I ask if someone who does know how, might consider adding the other images.
Side note, the ISBN in the infobox is for the Norton edition. I do not think it matters as both were published in the same month in 2004. --Prairieplant (talk) 18:24, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
