Fusion of fiction and reality in the final scene
[edit]It seems there is an IP editor who has spent the last few months continually re-adding this section. Could they please explain where this analysis is from, rather than wasting everyone's time putting it back in so it can be removed again. The problem with it that it appears to be original research, something that is not permitted on Wikipedia. But if it could be cited from a good source it could be left in. But otherwise, it will be removed, and continually re-adding it will only get the article locked. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 20:12, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Removed again. Please stop adding this until you can cite a reliable source that makes this analysis. There is nothing 'obvious' about this interpretation, and indeed if it was 'obvious' you would have little difficulty finding a source discussing it. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:23, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- I apologize for moving the section into the plot section. I did subcategorize that section, in any case WP:NOTPLOT clearly directs us to the conclusion this entire summary ought simply to be gutted, simplified and made concise. I would do this, but I have been blocked. I hope this plot summary gets cut down to one paragraph if possible. Thanks in advance. 72.129.81.5 (talk) 22:30, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- And having worked out what the original research is suggesting, I'd also add that it is laughably ludicrous. The film makers did not "have a premonition" in 2009 about the 2011 Norway attacks purely through the use of a name that is similar to Breivik. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:54, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- This nonsense continues to be added, three years later. Please can someone who cares sufficiently warn the user and then whatever comes next? 94.1.14.132 (talk) 09:01, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
Correct casting order
[edit]This is the correct order the cast were listed in the opening:
- Bobby Campo as Nick O'Bannon
- Shantel VanSanten as Lori Milligan
- Krista Allen as Samantha Lane
- Mykelti Williamson as George Lanter
- Nick Zano as Hunt Wynorski
- Haley Webb as Janet Cunningham
- Andrew Fiscella as Andy Kewzer
- Justin Welborn as Carter Daniels
Billy Slaughter
[edit]I think he should be removed, because the actor is not even credited for the role, nor does he have any big scenes. The casting section is for main or notable characters, not every member of the cast. Scream4man (talk) 19:43, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
2009
[edit]There seems to be a problem where the film is supposed to took place in 2006 due to Janet Cunningham's phone calendar in the car wash scene, but there is an iPhone used by Hunt Wynorski in the pool scene that wouldn't come out until 2007. The FD wiki even states that the film took place in 2009, and it's also part of the timeline. Janet's phone calendar being 2006 might be a production error from the producers. Right now reverting it back to 2009 is considered unsourced, so I'd like to know who will solve and revert this. DasKlose (talk) 00:11, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

- Removed the year as it's not needed in the summary. However, anyone wanting to put a year back in would need a reliable and verifiable source. If the film shows 2006 and there's no other reliable and verifiable source to refute that, then it's 2006. —Joeyconnick (talk) 02:40, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
