[edit]The Plot section completely misses a solid third of the movie. It does not talk about what happens after Bell grows up and there is a rematch of the Emperor's Club competition. It also does not talk about Hundert's resignation — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.35.95.243 (talk) 00:45, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
This summary doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Someone needs to rewrite this.
William Hundert never becomes headmaster. He is assistant headmaster for 17 years, but is denied the position of headmaster. He resigns in protest. Adam 04:55, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Reminded me of Dead Poet Societ a little. 216.250.13.36 23:39, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Bold text I think this summary makes perfect sense and discusses the important parts of the movie just fine. who over wrote this did a good job.
i thought it was a good summary too. maybe it needs a correction but it was engrossing! i feel like i know the plot of the movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.15.30.166 (talk) 21:37, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Sedgewick Bell didn't actually make it into the top three. Mr. Hundert changed the score on his last test so that he could be part of the Mr. Julius Caesar contest but in reality, it was Martin Blythe who was third in their class.58.69.181.47 (talk) 21:54, 3 October 2008 (UTC) jessica

Hatlink to escort service?
[edit]Hey all,
I'm wondering whether we should make a disambig page for Emperor's Club. It seems slightly awkward to have a hat link to an escort service at the top of an article that covers a popular movie..... Would anyone second a motion to create a disambig page? NickCT (talk) 23:00, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- There is only one link, so a disambiguation page would be excessive. There is no need to have the reader click twice to get to the VIP article. We have two options: keep it as it is, or remove it entirely. Emperors Club is a disambiguation page listing both articles, and Emperor's Club VIP redirects to the VIP article. I think it is fine to keep the hatnote; it is part of what makes Wikipedia interesting. :) Erik (talk | contribs) 23:04, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
The real teacher
[edit]Kevin Kline's character is based on a real teacher, Bob Nowe, that the author had at Town School. The irony of a history teacher being named"Nowe", pronounced now has not been lost on anybody. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.162.152.22 (talk) 00:18, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Inadequate Summary
[edit]Just so everyone knows- the summary of the plot misses out on a very important part, where the teacher is invited to do a competetion between the three adults who previously participated in it as pupils. Bell is by then a senator. What happens in that conversation is a monumentally important part of the film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.173.57.191 (talk) 00:24, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
