Paganism in Christian garb

This article leaves me with the strong impression that Erasmus presented largely pagan ideas by clothing them in Christian language. The article implies that Erasmus was intentionally doing this in order that his work might be accepted, rather than honestly attempting to justify his moral claims using Christian epistemology and methods. These are quite interesting claims, but unfortunately, I note that the last few paragraphs cite only Erasmus' own work. Obviously, such rhetorical analysis requires other sources.
