Fair use rationale for Image:Otisdockofthebay.jpg
[edit]Image:Otisdockofthebay.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:38, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 15:58, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
The Dock of the Bay → The Dock of the Bay (album) – "The Dock of the Bay" should be a redirect to the song "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay". The song is more well known than the similarly titled album, and the song receives many times the number of page views. Hoops gza (talk) 16:30, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Clearly the song is the primary topic, and the album is named after the title song. Apteva (talk) 17:18, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support per nom. This title was originally just such a redirect. — AjaxSmack 02:15, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. I made The Dock of the Bay into a disambiguation page, and disambiguated several links; most but not all were intended for the album which reached #1 on the charts. wbm1058 (talk) 16:59, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
The Dock of the Bay (album) → The Dock of the Bay – Already redirects here. Unreal7 (talk) 13:16, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. The consensus of the last RM was that "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" is the primary topic for "The Dock of the Bay", so that should redirect there. After this article was moved to "(album)", the redirect target was not changed for some reason. Per that consensus, I have now changed the redirect target. Lazz_R 14:06, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
- It actually was changed at the time of the move. It's just that someone else changed it back to point to the album 2 weeks later and either no one noticed or no one disagreed. Station1 (talk) 20:15, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. Likewise : The consensus of the last RM was that "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" is the primary topic for "The Dock of the Bay" In ictu oculi (talk) 14:11, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose As above. The song is the primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:47, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
