Daniel Morton in cast and characters
[edit]Should uncredited actors be included? And there's no WP article for Morton. IMDb shows that he appeared in 3 episodes of season 3 as "Detective Lawson", but I'm not convinced he should be included in the section. Pyxis Solitary yak 11:50, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Guest section
[edit]There were many actors that appeared in 2 to 4 episodes in this series that comprised 88 episodes, and we can't include them in Wikipedia as if the section was a list similar to IMDb's. Perhaps the names that should be reserved for the Guest section should be actors that had recognition at the time they appeared in the series, or became better known afterwards. Main characters biographies
[edit]I think the main characters in that show should have biographical summaries like what you see in Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, S.W.A.T. and such. Also, I only watch the show randomly, so I didn't know that C.D. actually survived the gunshot wound off-screen. BattleshipMan (talk) 15:32, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
- To write a biographical summary about a main character, an editor needs to be familiar with a series from the first to last episode the character appears in, if it's before the series finale, and whenever the character is mentioned in further episodes if not (because in the case of C.D. DeLorenzo, you find out in the next season that she not only survived the shooting, she also quit the force and broke up with Nate Basso). Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and S.W.A.T. are still first run programs, and the bio summaries have been written while the series have been current. The Division ended 15 years ago, so it's not a program that is still holding the attention of viewers and TV article editors interested in building articles about a series. An editor interested in writing character summaries about The Division would have to watch the syndication, if it's available in their local area. Pyxis Solitary yak 08:21, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
- The show Crossing Jordan, which ran in 2001 to 2007, has this layout of the cast and characters section. What do you think that layout would work on this one? BattleshipMan (talk) 03:46, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Well, the table section can also be renamed "Top billed", which opens the door to Main and Recurring sections with descriptions of characters. But I also think the timeframe the recurring were included in the show is important to keep (which Crossing Jordan has left out). Pyxis Solitary yak 07:48, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Personally, I think "Top billed" should be ignored and Main & Recurring should be kept. What do you think of the main character description layout on it? BattleshipMan (talk) 15:25, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- I have no objection to including a brief description for the main characters as appear in Crossing Jordan; but it's important to not be redundant, the descriptions should be original compositions, and avoid tripping on MOS:WORDS. Pyxis Solitary yak 23:42, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- You should do that on the article of The Division. BattleshipMan (talk) 01:10, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
- You could, too. Pyxis Solitary yak 07:46, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
