More context, please

[edit]

The article would benefit from a better synopsis of the backstory to the podcast. Where are they from? How did they end up in Wisconsin? How did they get to Costa Rica? Why did they leave? Where are they now? Obviously there's no need for intricate details but the basic narrative should at least be explained. It seems to me that the article should give readers the basic necessary background to pick up what the show is about if they were to start listening, just as any encyclopedia article gives a general background. --90.1.242.122 (talk) 23:35, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Show 822

[edit]

I'd like to question the relevance of show 822 in regards to the podcast. Does Dawns bowel movements really require a whole section? It seems vaguely ridiculous to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pixelpops (talkcontribs) 16:51, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'm going to delete it right now. Thenumberfor (talk) 20:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed awards winning sentance

[edit]

Dawn and Drew didn't win the award this year, so that was inaccurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.7.71.51 (talk) 08:30, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What RSS Feed?

[edit]

Is there any reason that the RSS feed is listed as http://dawnanddrew.btpodshow.com/feed/ the BTpodshow URL rather than http://dawnanddrew.podshow.com/feed/ that is listed on Dawn and Drew's site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.189.82.149 (talkcontribs)

Nope. Feel free to change it if you like, but they seem to be pointing at the same place. MrZaiustalk 11:05, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merger of Inkernet w/this page

[edit]

Should NOT be merged - Inkernet is used by others and is standalone so it may be found and, referenced because it was greatly popularized by DnD, references provided.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Nonperturbative (talkcontribs)

That's just it, though. It's not referenced in any way shape or form on that article except the link to DnD and the link to a CBC show that covered its usage in the context of DnD. Should be merged if it can't be backed up as being pervasive outside the DnD fanbase. Even if it can, however, the fact that it may be used outside the context of DnD doesn't negate the fact that the article currently states it was coined and/or popularized by DnD. If the term's never going to warrant more than a sentence or two of coverage, it makes sense to merge it here or to move it to Wiktionary or the list of internet slang MrZaiustalk 00:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Merged the sole source, referring to here, to this page and wrote new def for the term on List of Internet slang phrases. Didn't benefit from such trivial separate coverage. MrZaiustalk 10:15, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete biographies

[edit]

If we want to give biographies for the hosts (as the passage I moved from the lead seemed to be attempting), we should probably have something more substantial than “They used to live here, now they live there and have hobbies.” Or else just remove it and perhaps replace it with something describing the show itself. —151.132.206.250 (talk) 17:38, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
