Harsh vocals

[edit]

"The album marks a departure from screamed vocals into more Thrash metalesque Metallica influenced vocals"

Um, has it been confirmed that the entire album will not involve harsh vocals?

Yeah it has. Theres only like 2 or 3 lines on the whole album that are screamed according to Paolo

then why dose the genre say "metalcore"

shut up. he said in an interview with metal hammer. the genre says metalcore becaus etrivium hates change it to this.

Trivium genre arguments smell. They were essentially metalcore now theyre probably thrash and who knows next album. NWOAHM maybe?

There is a bootleg of the vid of "Entrance of the Conflagration" floating around at the moment if its relevent enough to add to the article. If not ah well

¿Thrash Metal?

[edit]

I love Trivium, and I know that the "The Crusade" Album is behind the old thrahs metal or post trash, but it isn't real thrash metal, It's only Swedcore with Thrash Metal! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.90.238.137 (talk) 04:03, 27 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Eh: it's close enough to Thrash =P And why has the "one acoustic song" piece of info been put back up? The album was released last year and there is clearly no acoustic songs on it

blah blah =]

It definitely has elements thrash metal, and so it having that as a tag seems fine to me. But it needs to have something else, illustrating that it isn't just thrash by any means. I'm fine with "Heavy metal". It's actually got quite a lot in common with power metal too, more so than thrash IMO. Prophaniti (talk) 18:58, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not all of it is thrash metal, so heavy metal's perfectly fine as a secondary genre. "Entrance of the Conflagration" and "And Sadness Will Sear" are not thrash metal songs. -MetalKommandant (talk) 20:20, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but this is NOT thrash metal, at all. Thrash metal is Death Angel, Overkill, Testament (they experimented with some death metal so they arent pure thrash), this is metalcore. I heard 3 songs on this album and none of them were thrash at all this is a horribly MISLEADING label, trivium is NOT thrash metal at all —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.88.135 (talk) 17:26, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yeah no metalcore at all on this album, no breakdowns, mabe 2 songs with two lines of screaming. Entrence of the Conflagration reminds me of Testament's More than meets the Eye —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.238.231.183 (talk) 09:29, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative Metal

[edit]

Where in that review did we get anything about "alternative metal"? I don't see it. References to Metallica doesn't do it. If you think this album is alternative metal, you really have a poor understanding of NWOAHM. -MetalKommandant (talk) 06:52, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

metalcore

[edit]

About 2-3 lines screamed, no breakdowns... How is this even remotly a metalcore album? Can you cite refrences? 141.132.103.161 (talk) 01:46, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Heavy Metal

[edit]

I do agree that this album is mostly Thrash Metal... But the songs; The Rising, Anthem (We are the Fire) and Sadness will Sear aren't thrash metal... ie, slower place, less agressive vocal style etc... Adding Heavy Metal as a secondary genre would be good to cover these songs Dims25 (talk) 23:23, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
