GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
Article is well written and laid out.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
Very well-referenced with inline citations throughout the text. Stands up to a quick spotcheck of online references.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
The topic is broadly covered with relevant detail where necessary, covering the reasons why the concert was developed, issues surrounding the event itself, and a brief discussion of subsequent relevant events inspired by this one.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
It is well-balanced with no bias issues
  5. It is stable.
No content disputes or edit wars. No problems with vandalism.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
No images at present, but that is ok for a GA. Not sure if any free use content is available, but this might need a few images if it went forward to FAC.
  7. Overall:
Pass A very interesting and informative article about an early instance of pop music being used to raise public awareness of world issues. This is almost certainly worth a shot at FAC, as it has the length and detail to satisfy their criteria, and would make a good featured article. You may want to request a copy edit or peer review before submitting it for FAC, but I think it would stand a good chance there. Congratulations and good luck. Thank you so much, that's excellent news. I do have an image in mind actually, a photo of a sign from outside the MSG box office. (If I could just get my scanner to work properly ...) Cheers, JG66 (talk) 06:12, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
