Twitter as a source
[edit]What exactly is wrong with using a twitter account, especially one belonging to one of the performers on the show, as a reference for data? As far as verifiability goes, that was just a portion of the information Reagan Gomez (aka "Roberta") provided. That rest were episodes that had already aired, and others that were otherwise only available (and subsequently already referenced) through the US Copyright Records database, and ALL of that information synched up with information we already had, making that information verifiable and the rest of her information valid. They're allowing Twitter on the Smallville page, and they are more obsessive about verifiability over there than any other page I've been on. My note from Xeworlebi for that on my talk page was to reference the specific tweet, rather than the main page...I did, there and here. So what exactly is the problem? - Can you prove that she is actually in control of the Twitter account? I can make a twitter page claiming to be MacFarlane, but doesn't mean I am. If they are real episodes, there should be copyright entries. CTJF83 chat 02:50, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Depends on whether Twitter has verified the account is actually who they say they are whether it can be used as a source or not. Wattlebird (talk) 01:58, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Ship'rect
[edit]Based on a short conversation with KnownAlias about what episode number the episode should have, I'm posting this.
I feel that the episode is correctly labeled as the fifteenth episode in the season because:
- FOX was going to air it as episode 15, but they decided to skip it and it's airing (not coincidentally as episode fifteen in NZ)
- If FOX did want the episode to officially be part of S02, they wouldn't have allowed it to air internationally as they have first broadcast rights.
- Look at List of Eastwick episodes, ABC skipped the 11th episode and aired the 12th episode as the 11th in the US. However the article lists the episodes in their original and intended order - so this isn't because I feel NZ's order has a higher priority than the US's. It's Wikipedia standard to list the episodes based on their episode order rather than airdate.
Any disagreements?

- its seems fine for now, but we just have to make sure it actually does air may 14th or whatever or if they decide to swap it out for a different episode as well Grande13 (talk) 12:54, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ship'rect was pulled at the last minute from broadcast. Changing all the relevant pages back...
Merge with certain individual episode articles
[edit]The majority of the episodes in this season of The Cleveland Show are not sufficiently independently notable to justify their own articles. As such, the following articles should be merged here: Da Doggone Daddy-Daughter Dinner Dance, The One About Friends, Birth of a Salesman (The Cleveland Show), Cleveland Jr.'s Cherry Bomb, Ladies' Night (The Cleveland Show), A Cleveland Brown Christmas, Field of Streams (The Cleveland Show), Our Gang (The Cleveland Show), The Curious Case of Jr. Working at The Stool, Once Upon a Tyne in New York, The Brown Knight, Gone with the Wind (The Cleveland Show), Brotherly Love (The Cleveland Show), Brown History Month, Cleveland's Angels, and You're the Best Man, Cleveland Brown. I have excluded Pilot (The Cleveland Show), A Brown Thanksgiving, Love Rollercoaster (The Cleveland Show), and Buried Pleasure from this merge suggestion because they all have sufficient claims to notability to at least deserve their own discussions before merging if they need to be merged at all. - Comment Most, if not all, have IGN reviews...it's just a matter of someone being motivated enough to add those, search for more, and clean up the articles. CTJF83 chat 04:17, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- The IGN reviews would be a great contribution to this article (The Cleveland Show (season 1)), but they do not in themselves demonstrate the individual notability of each episode. I have searched for the "significant coverage in reliable secondary sources" required by the notability guidelines for each episode and the only episodes that looked like they might have enough are the ones I have excluded from this merge suggestion. Neelix (talk) 14:41, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm saying IGN, and now I'm finding the AV Club, have reviews for specific episodes, which would show some notability. CTJF83 chat 16:35, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- Are there episodes other than the four I omitted from the merge suggestion that you believe to be notable? If so, which ones? Neelix (talk) 15:04, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
- You would just have to do a reception search like I would. Every episode has at least one review from IGN. Now do I want to spend time cleaning up all these articles...probably not, especially alone. CTJF83 chat 02:58, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have already searched for sources for these individual episodes and have become convinced that there is not enough coverage in reliable secondary sources to justify individual articles for the ones I have nominated for merging. The problem is not that the articles need cleaning up but that their subjects are not notable. Unless someone can demonstrate that sufficient coverage does exist, the merge should proceed. - I don't really watch this show, and just happened to notice this discussion. FWIW, I tend to agree with CTJF. I think if one were to do a really thorough search for sources and make an effort to whip these articles into shape, it could be done. A similar discussion was held last year (see here and here about mass merging South Park episode articles, particularly the first season. Now (largely as a result of that discussion) a lot of those first season articles are FAs, and a South Park FT drive was started in response. I'm not saying that would happen here, but I'd be willing to be the sources are out there if somebody took the time to seek them out... — Hunter Kahn 23:31, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
- Were any episodes of The Cleveland Show banned for trying to show Muhammad as a normal person? South Park is moar notable than The Cleveland Show will ever hope to be. And if IGN Reviews are enough to establish notability, than why the Hell were any Articles of The Boondocks Episodes deleted? Either delete all of The Cleveland Show episodes, or allow the ones for The Boondocks.24.5.155.168 (talk) 08:47, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
