- ...On July 1, 2004, The New York Clearing House Association announced that all of its affiliates, including The Clearing House Service Company L. L. C. (another affiliate that had been providing the computer and processing support to CHIPS under a long-term service agreement) were merged into a single payments company - The Clearing House Payments Company L. L. C. At the same time, the New York Clearing House Association officially changed its name to The Clearing House Association L. L. C. See News Release of The Clearing House (July 1, 2004).
