Hi, I'm Brooke Odunbaku - one of the contestants of The Circle Series US, also known as Brooke "DeRosiers". I do not go by DeRosiers as it was an alias used and would like the Wikipedia page to please amend the mistake. To confirm, please change contestant name "Brooke DeRosiers" to "Brooke Odunbaku". Many thanks in advance. Brookeodunbaku (talk) 04:39, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

- On Wikipedia we generally use the 'common names' i.e. those by which they are best known. The subject of this Wikipedia article is "The Circle" series, when 'Brooke' went under the name "DeRosiers" [1][2]. My personal preference would be to just use contestants' first names (by which they were known throughout the series) or, failing that, the names they had at the time of the series (not the names they decided to be known as in the future). - @Sionk: After coming back and re-reading this carefully I'm having some doubts about validity of this request unless the editor made a mistake. There never was a contestant named "Brooke" in the American edition of The Circle. [3] Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 08:22, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
- Ah, but this article is about the UK version, Series 2. Brooke was definitely in this one :) Sionk (talk) 22:04, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]- No references have been provided showing that the name used during the taping or airing of this show is incorrect. Thus, the validity of the claim made by the COI editor cannot be independently substantiated.

The taping/airing never shown "DeRosiers" either. My social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram all consist of my last name Odunbaku - feel free to verify. This article with the last name is unfortunately incorrect. Please amend it to Odunbaku, there's no reason as to why I'd lie about my last name... Brookeo94 (talk) 19:58, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
Unfortunately I made an error in my initial statement by making a type. I wrote US instead of UK.
I hope this is why the amendment hasn't been implemented.
My apologies Brookeo94 (talk) 20:00, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
