Winning Some Victory for Humanity
[edit]The article has a tag 'Discouraging Trivia Sections' -- however, in this article, what has been included as trivia may be one of the most important bits of the article:
- The quote Professor Fowler reads on the statue's plinth, “Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity,” is the motto of Rod Serling’s alma mater Antioch College, and was said by its first president, Horace Mann. Serling accepted a teaching post there after completing this script.
it gives a motive for why Rod Serling may have written this episode, and reveals something Serling believes, and out of which he acts. In this case, I think it would be a serious ommision to remove this bit of 'trivia'. It could probably head the article, or perhaps even Rod Serling's bio. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnrpenner (talk • contribs) 21:09, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
References
[edit]I don't know how to use the Reflist tag properly with the existing reference so the formatting looks wrong... Please fix if you know how.... 216.68.56.218 (talk) 20:15, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
