[edit]I've merged The Centre (Saskatoon) to Saskatoon, per WP:LOCAL. —Quarl (talk) 2006-12-30 08:38Z
Early history
[edit]If anyone has access to Star-Phoenix archives, I clearly remember that when the redevelopment of County Fair Plaza into Circle Park Mall was announced, the plan was to include a West Edmonton Mall-style amusement park. I even remember seeing a floorplan published which showed this. Obviously the idea was quashed. Can anyone provide a source for this? It's worth mentioning. 68.146.41.232 18:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Jumbo Video
[edit]While Jumbo Video as a chain may have become part of Rogers Video at some point, it was Jumbo Video for its business lifetime at Wildwood, so I removed the confusing reference to Rogers. 68.146.81.123 (talk) 13:26, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Correct name?
[edit]The mall entrance signs (one is illustrated in the article) still have the name "The Centre at Circle and 8th". Are you sure the mall is officially named simply "The Centre" now? I cannot find a source to back this up. All the branding I see still uses "at Circle and 8th". 70.72.211.35 (talk) 14:34, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Amusement park proposal
[edit]I'm trying to find the newspaper coverage of this to verify, but I clearly recall an early concept for Circle Park Mall in the mid-80s included an indoor amusement park, but the city rejected it. Anyone else recall this? 70.76.69.162 (talk) 14:52, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
"Fine art galleries"
[edit]I adjusted this reference. Centre East does not contain 9 "fine art galleries". It contains 9 art display cases alongside the movie theatres that are used for rotating exhibits, including art from local schools. 50.66.121.20 (talk) 16:44, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
- And in 2019 most of these were removed as part of the current renovation. Incidentally, the concern voiced back in 2012 about the correct title for this article still remains: it's still more widely known as The Centre at Circle and Eighth. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 20:25, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Incidents section deleted
[edit]I deleted the Incidents section as all it had was a minor incident involving a woman being fired from one of the retailers due to a food allergy. She was not employed by or fired by the mall, therefore if this incident has any notability at all, it should be included in the article on the retailer in question. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 20:29, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
