Adding Yuki in character list?

[edit]

Would it be spoiler to include Yuki in the list of characters? Is there a way to introduce her without giving away the ending (Marrying Prince Lune)? Or without naming her as the kitten that Haru feeds (which is supposed to be a surprise at the end, I guess) or as the voice that directs Haru to the Cat Business Office? Yuki

[edit]

I'd just name her and say that she was a serving girl at the palace.

Shōjo

[edit]

Why is this Shōjo? Ninja neko 08:40, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because the manga it's based on is -- published in Ribon. —Quasirandom 00:32, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, didn't know that it was in Ribon, you may want to add that to the article as well, it's not mentioned int here. Ninja neko 07:54, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The cat returns uk dvd.jpg

[edit]

Image:The cat returns uk dvd.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fan Site???

[edit]

Is that really a reliable source??? Using a "Baron + Haru fan site"??? Moocowsrule (talk) 05:27, 19 August 2008 (UTC)Moocowsrule[reply]

Well Nausicaa.net and Online Ghibli are also fan sites remember. Any site that is not officially run or sponsored by Ghibli, Disney, and Viz, is a fan site.

PS That was *MY* site that you deleted. Did you even have a look at it before you removed the link? I saw the movie AND read the book. My info is just as good as Nausicaa.net and Online Ghibli's info. I worked my butt off doing research for the cultural guide. I put that up for the parents and newbies to Japanese anime/manga. I also have a list of the TCR merchandise availible.

I have re posted the link. Please leave it there. If there's a problem, let one of the mods delete the link. Thank You.

I would like an explination on why you removed my link AGAIN. It was there for 3 years! Nobody seemed to have a problem with it before. Thundercat2 (talk) 07:03, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes but Nausicaa.net and Online Ghibli are... a bit more reliable. It's like Anime Network. That's a "fan site" but they have Reliable information. Reading a book and watching a movie doesn't mean that it's automatically a reliable source. Plus Nausicaa.net and Online Ghibli have more than one movie in them, and are run by more than one person (to my knowledge). I'm not pointing the blame but other people agree with me. See WP:RS. And yes. I did look at it.Moocowsrule (talk) 06:04, 18 October 2008 (UTC)moocowsrule[reply]
And please remove the link, until a few more people say you can put it back up, I'm not totally against it, but I'm not totally for it. I think that if enough people think so, I'd be fine with it being on here, if you insist you got your info from EXACTLY the same sources, I see no problem with it being there, but it is a "Baron+Haru fansite" as it was described. Ok it's gone. I'll leave in peace. I'll be honest. I'm not angry at you. I'm very disappointed with the way things are now at Wikipedia. So many helpers with good intent are getting burned and are leaving. It's been going on for a while now. I hung in as long as I could.

Thanks and peace out guys.Thundercat2 (talk) 06:49, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to remove it, I'm just saying wait until more people tell you it's fine to have that website. Moocowsrule (talk) 19:17, 18 October 2008 (UTC)moocowsrule[reply]

Haru's age

[edit]

How old is Haru? Is this anon right in changing it from 15 to 17? I did a little googling but didn't see anything that couldn't've been sourced from this article... --Gwern (contribs) 14:41 14 September 2009 (GMT)
