Plot
[edit]When I saw it, the 'explanation' was obscured by cryptic subtitles that made little sense. But it seems that the butterflies were innocent after all - someone knew how to control them and used them as cover. They were apparently working on something that looked remarkably like a machine-gun, presumably a superior weapon that would have changed history if the Chinese had developed it back in the unspecified past era when the film is set. But they get diverted into internal feuding and the implication is that the martial-arts experts kill each other off.
This is based on memories for maybe 20 years back. Does it match anyone else's recollection? --GwydionM (talk) 19:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's pretty much how I remember the ending. ~ NossB (talk) 13:05, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Moved this explanation to the main page. --GwydionM (talk) 19:08, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
DVD
[edit]No sign of a DVD on Amazon etc. It may have been released just in East Asia. Details would be interesting. --GwydionM (talk) 18:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- The details of the release are here [1], it's pretty much a bare bones release (as are most Mei Ah releases.) It also has a VCD release by the same company. ~ NossB (talk) 13:03, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- An English version had been released on DVD (ASIN: B001C9FQGG) in 2005 but isn't available anymore. A German version (ASIN: B001DIXANW) from 2008 is still available. --Eva K. is evil 19:49, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
