Tabulating the episodes
[edit]I've begun to tabulate all the episodes in the style of many other TV program's wiki pages. Hopefully I'll get it done in the next week Skyrail (talk) 12:37, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
why mentioning Cookie Jar / ThisTV ?
[edit]Whys is it mentioned that the series is "currently" running on a specific TV channel. Fir of all, this would need to be changed in the future, and it's also very US centric. The series is also running on other tv channels in others parts of the world, you know .... The original channel would be fine, but there's no need to mention the others. --Bluezy (talk) 09:50, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
I have sorted out your problem and removed the Cookie Jar ThisTV reference. Also I don't think CBS Paramount Television should be up here either because that channel merged a while ago.
Missing episode
[edit]Isn't there also an episode that takes place at Niagara Falls in Canada? I can't be accurate but there is a book I had that includes it. trainfan01 —Preceding undated comment added 04:05, 4 May 2010 (UTC).
In a recent edit, it has now been added. trainfan01 14:47, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
Mr. Beans Restaurant
[edit]Is this nonsense? Is there really an episode on this? I don't really see the connection between this series and the British series. Either that or it was completely coincidential (if this was not, Cookie Jar would probably have needed major permission from BBC to include that). trainfan01 14:46, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
Playhouse Disney and Disney Channel
[edit]In some recent edits on this article, claims about this show airing on Playhouse Disney and the Disney Channel keep getting inserted and deleted. Is this true? I have heard nothing of it airing on that channel.trainfan01 talk 19:20, December 13, 2010 (UTC)
I see absolutely no proof of this show even airing on Playhouse Disney nor Disney Channel either, same for Rockies77.167.93.53.192 (talk) 19:04, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Content issue
[edit]All right. There has been an ongoing dispute here regarding the addition of unsourced material here. 174.0.35.250 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), who claims to be from Canada, has been adding false information since early December. I removed it and the foreign channels to include only the original channels and the flagicons in the infobox per WP:MOSFLAGICON ([1]), but it was swiftly reverted. I posted a discussion at WP:TV regarding their opinion on the matter, but the edit war continued. Recently, after that IP made four reverts, I reported that IP for violating 3RR at WP:AN/EW, and as a result, this page has been protected. Also, the unsourced information continues to be added in a PBS-related article and a Nick Jr. related article. I am alerting the community here of my actions, and I hope this is not excessive. I am also seeking if we can gain a consensus on this dispute, as well as suggesting third opinions from users over at WikiProject Television. - I can be short; All added information needs to be sourced. If talking to the IP editor does not help, you can report the editor to WP:AIV. — Edokter • Talk — 22:28, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I have already issued a final warning towards the IP after he reverted my edit yet again. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:26, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Now reported to WP:AIV. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:33, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- This user is now blocked for 48 hours. Since I reverted three times and do not wish to violate 3RR or the policy on edit warring (as I have been blocked once for 24 hours in October 2010), can the previous version be restored please? Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:49, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- (ec) The page was locked by User:HJ Mitchell for a week, and guess what happens about three minutes after the lock expires? Right back at it. If the IP had engaged at all in discussion, instead of hitting the undo button, that would be one thing, but xe hasn't. IP blocked 48 hours for disruption and edit warring. KrakatoaKatie 00:56, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- As a note, I, along with User:Edokter, did everything I could to talk to the IP about the importance of sourcing, but so far he hasn't engaged in discussion with me unfortunately. As for the unsourced material the IP had added, it fails our verifiability policy as it has been said above. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:04, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Three hours after the IP's 48-hour block expired, this user has reinserted the false information yet again to this page and removed my editorial note as well. I have already warned the IP on his/her talk page again. Rather than getting involved in edit warring again, should we report him/her to Wikipedia:Abuse response or file a request for comment on this page if it is necessary? Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 04:54, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Since no one has answered yet, I am proposing that we should file an RFC on this issue, if there are no objections. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 15:18, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- I have issued 3RR warnings to the IP and myself because I do not want to uninteltionally violate 3RR or cause disruption as a precaution. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 22:45, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

- Although the series was produced by Paramount, that company never released "The Busy World" onto home video. When I rented a video tape from my local library, the PolyGram logo appeared before the Paramount mountain. In the ending credits, the following co-producers were also listed: The Family Channel (Canada), Canal J and France 3 (France), and the BBC (United Kingdom). Should I add Family and/or Canal J/France 3? Mewtwowimmer (talk) 17:10, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Worth mentioning, I put down that the show also airs on Light TV in addition to Qubo. --IanDBeacon (talk) 06:55, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
RfC on flagicons and unsourced information
[edit]Should we use reliable sources and remove false information in the article? See edits in question here.
Per the WP:MOSFLAGICON guideline, flagicons are to be avoided in infoboxes. These apply to television infoboxes, as well as film infoboxes. Along with the edit note that I have placed, the parameters guidelines at the said infobox discourages the addition of foreign broadcasters in the infobox. Foreign broadcasters require reliable sources per WP:V and WP:RS. However, the recent edits in question have included such foreign broadcasters such as Playhouse Disney, which clearly contradicts the mentioned policies along with WP:CRYSTAL, WP:NOR and the television infobox's guidelines. This addition of unsourced material has also happened on several pages such as Playhouse Disney Channel Asia ([2]), List of programs broadcast by Nick Jr. ([3]), and Public Broadcasting Service ([4]). However, I am also seriously concerned about finding reliable sources as well, since this article only has one source.
Discussion on this issue is welcome. For reference, again, please see WP:CRYSTAL, WP:V, WP:MOSFLAGICON, WP:NOR and WP:RS. Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 23:23, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Need some help here...
[edit]Someone has repeatedly removed sourced information and revert back to their preferred version. I feel that it does not comply with Wikipedia standards. In going with the WP:BRD route, I am opening up a discussion to see if other users can voice their opinion on this matter. Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:56, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Voice Cast
[edit]The voice cast listed on this page is absolutely full of false information.
Paulsen, Welker, Messick etc never voiced a character in this show. It was filmed and recorded in Canada.

- By and large this page is full of uncited info and original research. Most of my edits have been simply to "keep the wolves at bay" and I don't have the time to really delve into improving the page. Obviously no other reputable editors, including myself, has the time or interest in fixing the many, many problems, so we'd welcome another hand (such as yourself). Incorrect descriptions?
[edit]I'm going through this show with my sons, and something doesn't look right here: Season 5 Episode 60 is "The New Neighbors / The First Halloween Ever / Now I Know My One, Two, Threes!" which has the description "The use of counting chickens is featured." Season 5 Episode 61 is "Mr. Gronkle Moves Away / Counting Chickens / The Spelling Bee" which sounds like it probably has something to do with counting chickens.
Similarly, I would guess that: The description of E59 goes with the title of E63, and the description of E64 goes with the title of E60
Does anyone have access to another source for episode titles and descriptions? The descriptions on this page match those on IMDB, for example. Elofgren (talk) 00:11, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

The Busy World of Richard Scarry is an American/Canadian/French animated children's television series 2603:8080:604:9595:CD76:C071:FFA2:FF98 (talk) 05:01, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- Not done. The addition of the three countries makes the sentence too awkward to read. It's mentioned elsewhere, which is enough. ◢ Ganbaruby! (talk) 12:38, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
