Maforium

[edit]

I think "maforium" is too obscure a word to use in the article. I've put "mantle" in parentheses. That line needs work that I don't have the time to give it.

Ref for maforium: ". . . one can see the dark oval face of Madonna, wrapped up with a dark-blue headscarf — maforium, which falls down like a coat with soft folds . . ."; "Three seven-pointed stars on the head of the falling maforium . . ."

Refs for mantle:

  • "This mantle typically covers her head . . ."
  • "Adorned in her heavenly blue mantle the Madonna holds a chubby Christ Child . . ."
