Gerard Butler a producer?

[edit]

Butler is not credited as a producer in the credits. Variety does not list him as producer at the bottom of the page and also the review says: "The first one has been in feature development since that year [2011], initially as a vehicle for Gerard Butler. It's Aaron Eckhart instead who assumes the mantle of Jack Reacher-like hero Steve Vail in The Bricklayer".

This Screen Rant interview with Nina Dobrev: Screen Rant: Now, Gerard Butler's a producer on The Bricklayer. Can you discuss working with him in that capacity?
Nina: Yeah, he actually didn't come to set, so I didn't get to see him, but I know Gerard and he's a fantastic person and a great actor and action actor in his own route as well. Mike Allen 21:34, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WP:IMDB is not a reliable source, edits may have been mislead.
Butler is not credited as a producer, exec producer or even co-producer. Bulter's production company G-Base is not mentioned anywhere either. Whatever involvement he may have had seems to have ended and he and his company did not retain any stake in the final film. The project may have gone into turnaround or the long delay might have resulted in the rights reverting and a whole separate project being developed from the same book source. -- 109.255.172.169 (talk) 21:05, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Still zero evidence that Butler had any involvement in the final film.[1] Butler is not mentioned anywhere in the credits. The WP:BURDEN is on editors to find reliable sources to support any claims about uncredited cast or crew. Butler should not be added to the Infobox without a reliable source. -- 109.77.200.184 (talk) 02:05, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
