Far Side Cartoon Reference
[edit]I fail to see how the reference to a far side cartoon is removed for being original research, it's the exact cartoon. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRiIqKJdYc7fVfAyApdSv6httrmg0WD5gDCtbxDGS0lEBF8_nv_k7xyXEt3 http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_P1I-Or2ze18/SSAu6QyslpI/AAAAAAAABS4/McG7ueItjzY/s400/far+side.jpg
I really can't emphasize this enough, now please don't start an edit war. 68.150.234.204 (talk) 01:20, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I will be reviewing this shortly. I've never seen The Simpsons but I've reviewed 2 articles before and this one looks particularly interesting as I'm a big bookworm and writer and have noticed that vampires are WAY too popular in today's YA fiction. A comment before I begin reading the whole article: refs 4 and 19 are the same, and should the final section be named "Release and reception" to be more accurate? Glimmer721 talk 20:42, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi! :) I fixed the references. Not sure about changing the title of the section though... The reception is part of the release, don't you think? Theleftorium (talk) 21:52, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I see it is now common in The Simpsons articles. I originally thought differently. Glimmer721 talk 22:40, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]- The lead implies that Lisa writes her own novel but follows what happens to the group's novel...what happened to Lisa's?
- Added a sentence about that. Theleftorium (talk) 11:01, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Plot section: what is Gaiman catering for? The group's party?
- Why the bracketed elipse after the quote in the last sentence of the first paragraph of "Production"? As that is the end of what is quoted, it should not be needed.
- Actually no, it's not the end of the sentence. See [1]. Theleftorium (talk) 11:01, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Why is "incredibly productive" italicized?
- It's italicized in the source. Theleftorium (talk) 11:01, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Make sure all instances of Andy García have the accent over the I.
- Perhaps some more paraphrasing could be done in the production and reception sections instead of using direct quotes all the time.
- I have done some paraphrasing now! Theleftorium (talk) 11:31, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
I'll place this on hold for 7 days while these issues are addressed. Great work on the article. I'm also glad I'm not alone in realizing that the concepts in YA fiction are usually the same and repetative (one reason why I perfer the "children's" section). Very enjoyable read. Glimmer721 talk 23:19, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for the review! :) Theleftorium (talk) 11:31, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed the elipses as it was the end of the sentence in the article and so a quotation mark followed by a period is all that is needed (sorry I wasn't clear up above) and made sure all quotation marks and apostrophes were straight rather than "curly" (see WP:PUNCT). I will pass this now. Glimmer721 talk 16:53, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I see! Thanks! Theleftorium (talk) 16:59, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Is this only a joke in this episode? or it is an actual reference to previous episode or what? 85.83.42.75 (talk) 18:26, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
