I'll give this one a go as well.
Background
[edit]- Is the first comma in the opening sentence required?
- Sorry for being dense, which sentence? Not all these items relate to the Background section, right? The Rambling Man (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- I confess I am the one being dense here - I meant the opening sentence of the third paragraph in that section (ie: between "race" and "and"). Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:56, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- Got it. Yes, it's probably not essential so removed. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:07, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

- Not sure if "squally weather" would be understood globally, maybe "inclement weather" or simply "bad weather" would be an alternative?
- Changed to inclement. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- Beverley Brook could be wikilinked
- Cool, good spot, so linked. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- "Both boats were "German"-rigged" - are the quotes around "German" necessary?
- I thought that was how teh source had it but apparently not. Thus removed. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
I can't think of anything else, so I'll put the review on hold Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:06, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, just a query left over the sentence with the nugatory comma.... The Rambling Man (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- Everything looks to be done, so I'll pass the review now. Well done. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:09, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
