After the long slog of reviewing South African general election, 2014, time for something simpler....
Lead
[edit]- Is Blue supposed to be in upper case?
- Yep, I believe so. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Background
[edit]- I can't remember if other Boat Race GAs do this, but I think the ("sometimes referred to as") in brackets is probably superfluous and does make the prose a little longer than necessary.
- It's the same in other GAs. I was asked to include something like this so I can then use those terms interchangeably with Cambridge and Oxford. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, if it's consistent with other GAs then I don't mind as much Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:17, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

- "followed throughout the United Kingdom and broadcast worldwide" - are you sure about the "worldwide" bit for the 1962 race, back then that would have been a major effort unless the film was physically shipped to other countries
- No, that refers to the current state of affairs, I'll add a "as of 2014" for the avoidance of doubt. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- "However, in their final practice" - as we just had "practice" in the previous sentence, I'm wondering if we could pick another word here?
- Have done so. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Crews
[edit]- It's strange how Blues is wikilinked down here but not earlier in the "Background" section
- Linked appropriately. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Race
[edit]- "sticky second stroke" - generally speaking, I feel its' best to put the inline citation directly after the quote, otherwise copyediting elsewhere can "detatch" the source from it over time
- Thus added. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Summary
[edit]- I can't think of anything else, another concise, well-written and informative article. Putting on hold now pending improvements. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 23:02, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks again Richie, I think I've addressed the comments. Cheers, The Rambling Man (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, everything looks resolved, so I can pass this. Another one in the bag. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:33, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
