Initial comments
[edit]- "In a race umpired by former rower Charles Burnell" - which team did he belong to?
- Added Oxford. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- "and since 1845 has taken place on the 4.2-mile " - should there be a dash in there? I've never seen an article that uses a dash for measurements before
- Yep, when used as an adjective (see the adj=on parameter). The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- "According to Drinkwater" - George Drinkwater? I had no idea who this was until I check the 1927 race! It is also mentioned again later in the paragraph "According to author and former Oxford rower Drinkwater" - I think that it should explain who he is at the beginning of the paragraph
- Got that the first time round this time. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- "It was the largest winning margin where both boats completed the course since the 1900 race" - does it still remain the largest winning margin or has it been beaten?
- No, that's why it says "it was...", it was equalled in 1947, beaten in 1955... The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

[edit]- No dead links etc, so this passes the criteria
On hold
[edit]That's all I could find with this one. I used the 1927 race as a barometre for reviewing this one, so on that basis I would say that the lead does summarise the article for an article this length.
- Thanks, I've addressed and/or responded to your comments above. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:22, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for addressing all of them! Sorry for my mistake above as I think I might of skipped something. Anyway, another promoted, thanks again ☯ Jaguar ☯ 19:28, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
