What 'actual events?'

[edit]

What actual events is this film based on? 71.139.178.219 (talk) 23:40, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

its about the infamous gang "The Bling Ring" who robbed hollywood stars65.181.35.106 (talk) 00:15, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Large chunks of the "Development" section seem blatant copy-and-paste jobs. For example, most of the first paragraph seems to have been lifted from here. "Casting" has had a section lifted from here and elsewhere and "Filming" has a paragraph taken from here. There seem to be others as well, the whole section reads like it's lifted from news articles. Most of it seems to have come from this edit by this unregistered user. Tiller54 (talk) 23:32, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Country parameter in the infobox

[edit]

United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan? Seriously? All those countries contributed a $8 million budgeted movie? Lead says it's American and the infobox says otherwise. Anyone got a rationale for this? -- Chamith (talk) 16:57, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The sources are mixed. AFI identifies only U.S. as the production country. However, BFI says, United Kingdom / Germany / Japan / USA. New York Times / Rovi says just United States. Lumiere says, US / GB / FR / DE / JP [Co-production]. In such cases, we can affirm that it is not a straightforward nationality. As for listing the countries, based on the above, I am fine with the current list since it reflects the depth of international funding for this production. That's reasonable I guess. However, I think BFI should be cited as the source given that there is a chance readers would be confused like I did. -- Chamith (talk)
I added an inline citation referencing Lumiere. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 19:34, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
