I've always heard the Australian floods referred to as simply "The Wet". Reminds me of that old Rolf Harris song, "In the Wet". Never heard the floods called "The Big Wet", nor is that phrase even mentioned in the Floods in Australia article. P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 21:51, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. Nothing to do with floods. The Big Wet is the arrival of "the monsoon season" in northern Australia. Who writes this stuff, misleading. 118.208.22.8 (talk) 21:56, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
