historical inaccuracies

[edit]

Just a note: in the film Steve Allen as Goodman is shown playing the Gordon Jenkins standard "Goodbye," which he used as a closing theme for many years, after his father dies. Goodman's father died in 1926 but Jenkins did not compose "Goodbye" until 1935. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.98.118.115 (talk) 19:48, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Twice acquainted

[edit]

I don't know if it is "goof": Alice Hammond is twice introduced to Benny, first at 23'29" (Napolitan Cafe) and then again at 29'58" (Trombone Club). Part of their conversation is the same:

  • You like hot music?
  • Oh, no, not at all.
  • What are doing here?
  • I just came to keep John out of trouble.
