Editing Citations?
[edit]I edited the article, “The Beetle” novel. I found very few “errors.” I changed the phrase, “is able to resist,” to “can resist.” I also changed, “pays him a visit” to “visits him.” — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amber manning 12345 (talk • contribs) 02:44, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Hello! First I want to start off by saying that I am trying to edit this page for a library science class assignment. My interest in this topic is that I like Gothic fiction, but I have personally never read this book before today. I am trying to be as unbiased as I can. Some things that I am having trouble with is finding resources to create in text citations for this article. I have taken a stab at it, but I am concerned about resource number two that I tried to add. If another editor could take a look at it and make sure that it is usable, I would be really grateful. This is my first time editing a wiki page so I am a little fuzzy on exact procedures. I have been reading all the tutorial pages, but I am worried I am still not fully grasping everything.
On another note, I believe that maybe the plot summary is a little long. I didn't want to change anything and risk offending anyone. I also haven't completely finished reading The Beetle by Richard Marsh 1897 so I didn't want to mistakenly delete something important.
Please let me know on how I can improve, any mistakes I might have made, and corrections that I can complete. Thanks!

- G'day Kthompson13 and welcome. Right then, citation templates are very useful. When you click a page to edit it, you might notice a box in the top left (under the "B" and "I" ) called "Templates" - click on that and you'll see templates for "book", "journal" , "web". Alternately, there is one at Template:Cite web etc. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 23:45, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Regarding length, the other approach is to enlarge the out-of-universe material, such as reception, sales, influence, legacy etc. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 23:45, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
