I heard this as a child. My parents said it. But the joke is that it is repeated over and over: "Do what?" "Remind me of a man!" "What man?" etc.

Music
[edit]Wagner's music is used in this movie and then perverted for humorous effect. When Cary Grant appears as the knight in shining armor, we hear Siegfried's theme ... I think from the "Rhine Journey" but I may be wrong. When Shirley Temple is shown up to the apartment of Richard Nugent, we hear a bit of the Prelude to Act 1 of Lohengrin, which then turns into lighthearted movie music.
