Mimi and Toutou
[edit]In his 2004 book "Mimi and Toutou Go Forth", Giles Foden claims that this attempt to put two small British gunboats on Lake Tanganyika inspired C.S. Forester's novel. The strategic significance of the Great Lakes will be clear to anybody who has read William Boyd's An Ice-Cream War. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 22:26, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
