Redirects
[edit]Would it be possible for someone to add some redirect pages to this page? It appears that the only way to get here is to type "The Adventures of Mimi" - anything different goes to a search page that lists a bunch of "Digimon"- related articles. Such Great Heights 13:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I created a few. Hopefully, it'll be easier to access the article now. --musicpvm 17:38, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
"Choregraphy/Choreographers"
[edit]Why is one person listed under the Choreography credit and a number of different individuals listed as Choreographers? Needs cleaning up.
Tour Grossings
[edit]If anyone has any more information regarding the grossings from her TAOM Tour, PLEASE feel free to post it. Also, make sure to post your reference somewhere. --tpetross 07:16, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
I found this information in Mariah Daily the same website they have the other tour grossing information from [2]
October 18 - Nagoya at Nagoya Rainbow Hall (seating: 10,000 - sold-out)
October 20 - Saitama at Saitama Super Arena (seating: 37,000 - section "C" sold-out)
October 21 - Saitama at Saitama Super Arena (seating: 37,000 - sold-out)

Resting her voice
[edit]"Of note is that Carey never schedules shows in two consecutive nights, as she "actually [has] to have a full day and a half off between shows, whereas most touring artists do it every night," and she spends her down time preserving her voice by not talking and "sitting in a humidified room, sleeping." [6]"
In Japan she has 2 dates (20,21 - 24,25) with no day and a half break in between. o__O?
Ticket Sales
[edit]Are we assuming that 6 shows were cancelled due to low tickets sales or is there actual proof of low sale? because the link says nothing about why the shows were cancelled. ThisIsMyName 05:04, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, I tried to remove this information but it was reverted. [ 22:35, 25 October 2006 82.46.130.117]
- The Newsday article cited was discussing the cancellations in the context of low ticket sales elsewhere, so it's pretty obvious that was the reason. And it was four shows scrapped, not six. Wasted Time R 22:44, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Tour gross
[edit]It would be good if the article could state what the total gross was for the full tour and/or for the North American portion. But I haven't been able to find a WP:RS that gives either figure. This AP story lists the top 10 North American grosses for 2006 as reported by Pollstar, and the tour isn't in it. So we know the North American gross is less than $49 million (not surprising, given she only did 32 dates), but that's all. Wasted Time R (talk) 13:01, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
rv edits by Mammamia9905
[edit]1. Box office score data appear every week in the Billboard (magazine). Only most of Carey's North American concerts were reported. All the other numbers are made up with no reliable sources.
2. No % sell outs should be boldfaced, as this violates Wikipedia's policy regarding neutral point of view.
3. The sources says nothing about 76.000 in Tunisia and 130.000 in Japan. Note: concert organistors never use the whole capacity of the venue.
I'm reverting all your changes. Max24 (talk) 00:23, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. Mammamia9905's edit summary argument that "u have no sources to change a page that has been left untouched for over 6 months" is frivolous. Many of these diva concert tour articles have bogus, unsourced attendance and grosses figures. Wasted Time R (talk) 11:17, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Tour gross and ticket sales
[edit]I need your neutral opinion here, as the article is vandalized regularly by user Mammamia9905.
The box office score data of The Adventures of Mimi Tour as all other tours in the world were reported to Billboard (magazine) and published on its official website and in the paper magazine. However, also as it happens with all other tours in the world, not all the data were reprted. Few American dates and all outside North America were never reported and there is absolutely no other reliable source to say how many ticket were sold and how big was the gross. For example, Taking Chances Tour#Box office score data reported only few dates outside America and most of North American (but not all).
User Mammamia9905 is putting completly false informations about the missing shows and has nothing to prove it, not even one reliable source. Also, many of the numbers he posted are the full venue capacity. However, concerts organistors never use the whole capacity of the venue. You can see that by visiting any of the tour articles for other artists, for example again Taking Chances Tour#Box office score data. None of the concerts used the full capacity. For example the AT&T Center has maximum capacity of 17,444 seats but the tickets were sold to 12,882 people only. It's the same with all tours.
I have two types of sources to prove my point of view. Firts ones can be used in Wikipedia:
Billboard - Top10 changed every week.
Billboard Archive - Top10 archive since 2005.
Billboard.biz - the full charts with archive (must be a memeber to log in).
And source which isn't appropriate for Wikipedia:
Heaven Forum - a forum with many useful informations including the Billboard Boxscores (the full charts).
The only argument Mammamia9905 can find is that the site had the false informations for 6 months and that's why they are good. Well, that's not a reason to keep fake figures, don't you think?
By the way, this user is doing the same thing with many Mariah Carey related articles despite many warnings he received. Max24 (talk) 23:39, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- From the style and content and behavioral practices, I would guess that Mammamia9905 is a reincarnation of blocked sockpuppeteer User:Petergriffin9901. See WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Petergriffin9901/Archive for the past case. Wasted Time R (talk) 23:57, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- It appears you might not need a third opinion as there is comment above and if Mammamia is a disruptive editor (and hasn't entered the debate on this page), but I thought you'd still like some comment. It's obvious that incorrect information cannot be allowed to stand and should be removed, no matter how long it had been unnoticed. The current table at The_Adventures_of_Mimi_Tour#Commercial_reception looks to be suitable, but don't the blank spaces need explaining - cancelled/no statistics available/other reason?
