Infobox image
[edit]I think the infobox photo should be either the Russian or Japanese poster, it would make a bit more sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:304:B018:6B00:D520:540C:C3E5:F2B (talk) 14:59, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
Page remake
[edit]I think the page should be remade using the Russian Wikipedia page https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%BB%D1%8E%D1%87%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%8F_%D0%BF%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B3%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%BD%D1%91%D0%BD%D0%BA%D0%B0_%D0%9B%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%BE — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hfmbears (talk • contribs) 23:04, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
Article Title
[edit]I think the article should be moved to The Adventures of Lolo the Penguin, or the original Japanese romaji name. It makes no sense to have an artice that says "The Adventures of Scamper the Penguin (The Adventures of Lolo the Penguin outside the USA)" when the film isnt from the USA, and the Wikipedia isnt only for the USA readers, but all English speaking readers.
- "Priklucheniya pingvinenka Lolo" (The Adventures of Lolo the Penguin) - that is original soviet name. Merci 92.101.111.95 (talk) 08:10, 23 January 2014 (UTC)P
Move "Scamper" Into A Separate Article:
[edit]I agree with this comment left by ?
...
However the U.S.A. and Hollywood has officially changed the film name to "Scamper". I bet Hollywood has even destroyed the U.K. English Dub, forcing everybody to either watch the Scamper drivel or to learn another language. Sadly, Scamper is enjoyed by millions of people. Even more depressing is the fact that Scamper is 110000000000000000000000000000% more notable than Lolo. I can barely find any confirmation about the existence of Lolo. Yes. Hollywood is THAT powerful.
Lolo is available in Russian, Japanese, English, and at least one other language ( Estonian? ) .
Scamper is available in English and I am not sure about other languages.
Just because the footage is the same, the two films ARE different because Scamper changed the entire production design and diluted the story (deleting half of the original story's CONCLUSION!)
They NEED separate articles. Due to the availability of Lolo in at least four languages, there has to be a large audience somewhere in the world and they would enjoy an official Lolo article.
I cannot read these other languages. This means that if there are approved websites out there that can establish notability for an official Lolo article, I would not be able to read those websites because they would be in a different language that I have not yet learned.
Even more so, I don't think Wiki would even consider considering thinking about considering approving two articles, or changing the name of this one.
We are probably stuck with Scamper.

Names and Censorship
[edit]The U.S. version of the film changed all the characters' names, most notably Scamper, who is known as Lolo in the UK, and to speakers of other languages.
The U.S. version also featured censorship due to the original film's very violent nature. The film was censored for the sake of the younger audience of the U.S. culture, and to the parents' satisfaction. This should be mentioned along side the written Summary which is based on the U.S. version. Otherwise, the Summary must be written in a way to make it mutual for everyone, and the censors mentioned in another part. Hope(N Forever) 10:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Done. I think I did a pretty good job of the complete rewrite. But I must also comment that the original film does not have a "very violent nature". Only a few small scenes, but this does not mean that Hollywood needs to change high quality films and programmes into sappy ones. In Correct (talk) 13:51, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Change The Name Of This Article!
[edit]Hey all you Russian People out there, I need your help. Look for books, etc. that can prove the existence of the original title of "Scamper" (Lolo). Wikipedia and EVERYWHERE ELSE names it "Scamper The Penguin". I search on facebook Fan Pages to "Like" Lolo The Penguin. Instead, EACH TIME I get a redirect to Scamper! I do NOT LIKE SCAMPER! The two films are DIFFERENT. Does Gatchaman redirect to Battle Of The Planets?! NO! IMDB has separate pages for them. This is not IMDB but we can still change the name of this article Lolo (or create a separate article). Unfortunately I do not speak Russian and I don't speak any of the other languages (only English and non-fluent Japanese, German, French, Italian, and Spanish if you are wondering) But I KNOW that there is evidence of the existence of the original film.
