One father?

There's a reference to a single father of an autistic child who had 'mixed reviews.' I'm sorry but is that notable enough to include? I understand that there is an article in the Guardian about it, but still. My mother watches the show, and she works in a classroom with autistic children. Wouldn't she be more qualified? Not that I'm thinking of including her, but for reference. One experience with an autistic child out of millions in the world doesn't seem to be worthy of including in the article. The word "autistic" insensitive?
