Con Artist?
[edit]Can you really say someone as young as flim-flam is really a con artist? a scamp or trickster, maybe, but 'con artist' implies criminality.
I'd say so. Flim-Flam is constantly looking for ways to profit by bamboozling and fooling people. 74.131.12.239 (talk) 03:45, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Ship of Ghouls - Main Ghost?
[edit]While he is never named, the Travel Agent is the one who sends the gang on the ghost voyage, and he's later revealed to be the captain. I think that qualifies him better as the main ghost villain in this episode. Edit? Evilwillhunting (talk) 03:47, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Cliffhanger?
[edit]Wasn't this show left at a cliffhanger? I've always felt there was a missing episode. There had to be more then 13 planned cause if you count them only 12 ghost were returned to the chest. Who was the thirteenth and why was it never captured and what happened to the episode? JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 09:06, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Recent edits and reverts
[edit]Hi User:KatnissEverdeen and User:Visokor thanks to both of you for your efforts in improving this article. Since it is clear that both of you are in disagreement with some of the recent edits, may I request you to discuss these edits here, instead of WP:EDITWARRING it on the article. Regarding this edit I think the edit by Visikor seems more appropriate and useful. User:KatnissEverdeen can you please explain why you are removing this bit of useful information. regards. --DBigXrayᗙ 17:11, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
- @DBigXray: Do you agree with the content or the formatting? Parentheticals, in most cases, are totally unnecessary, and they are grossly overused in entertainment articles. Excessive parentheticals compromise the professional tone that we're supposed to be going for. Provided that KatnissEverdeen doesn't object to the content, I would recommend the phrasing be changed from:
"The situation is complicated by the hotel concierge, who thinks the gang has kidnapped a maid (who was actually kidnapped by the demon)."
- to:
"The situation is complicated by the hotel concierge, who thinks the gang has kidnapped a maid, although she was actually kidnapped by the demon."
- No need for the parenthetical. Same information delivered without the whisper. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:15, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb Thanks for the ping, I was referring to the content, sorry for not being clear enough. I believe the second version is better. Please feel free to change the content if not changed already. --DBigXrayᗙ 14:42, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
- I agree that the second version sounds better and less clunky. Visokor, just because something is true does not mean that it is notable. Summaries like this this come across as very TV-guideish and Wikipedia is not a WP:TVGUIDE. The Demon Slime bit is debatable, as those little notes at the bottom are just listing the main ghost of the episode, not every single villain in the episode. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 16:43, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Visokor: Though I believe you mean well, the content you added in the link Katniss added is problematic for at least two other reason: We do not use contractions in professional prose. "What is" would be the correct way to begin that sentence. Additionally, there is no justification for adding an exclamation point; Encyclopedias do not shout or express surprise. Please see WP:TONE. I also don't understand why you're being vague about the plot in "and has plans regarding the Chest of Demons". What are the plans? Why can't we be specific? We're not writing loglines to tease readers to watch the episode, we're writing episode summaries. These should be up to 200 words and should explain generally what transpires in the entire episode. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:48, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
- Cyphoidbomb I have clarified the summary on the main page, while still keeping the majority of Visokor's information intact. I also removed all unnecessary contractions and parentheticals from the episode summaries. Thanks, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 22:13, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
