Requested move 22 June 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: not moved since the TV show is the primary topic over the The Simpsons episode. (non-admin closure) Not·Really·Soroka 02:25, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
That '90s Show → ? – The base name should be a disambiguation page to have both this and The Simpsons version pages listed on there as I don't think there is a primary topic between these two. Both moves involving this current title were not discussed and presumably it served as a redirect to That '90s Show (The Simpsons) before this sitcom had it's article in this current title. Let's discuss which is better. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:20, 22 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 05:43, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. The Simpsons episode is merely a single episode, and a fairly random and unremarkable one. It can't realistically compete for primacy with a full show (and particularly with a legacy show like this one). BD2412 T 15:26, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Support. It is WP:CRYSTAL clear that the TV show may be notable in the future. However, at the present, the episode is only the existing topic for the title. Shwcz (talk) 16:11, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Article pageviews and Google results overwhelmingly favour the TV show, clear primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 16:24, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose – Seems a bit like having a disambiguation page for Better Call Saul and "Better Call Saul" (Homeland). If it were a highly notable episode of The Simpsons, that would be one thing, but even if That '90s Show turns out to be a total failure that no one remembers, it's hard to imagine it won't remain the primary topic. —Will(B) 18:02, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Comment either way of what the result on the discussion is, I've changed the links on the Simpsons related articles to the relevant page, think it was probably only two. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:46, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Support: for now, at least until the show has been released. This will most likely become the primary topic in the future. --Spekkios (talk) 00:18, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. This page is already the primary topic, and there is no point in moving it if we'll just move it again when it's released. Also, most importantly, the Simpsons episode is bad. Nohomersryan (talk) 21:35, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. The upcoming TV show is the primary topic currently. If it manages to completely disappear entirely after its release/non-release, then a swap can be possible. Skynxnex (talk) 03:31, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose: A television series should have priority over a single episode. Nine hundred ninety-nine (talk) 14:45, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
Who is Gwen
[edit]In the description it says Nate Runck is Gwen's easy going brother, but she's mentioned nowhere on the page. GeronimoX (talk) 20:30, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Netflix required more inclusiveness in the characters as is their policy
[edit]This needs to be included in the article. That for this show to be part of Netflix, there had to be as per Netfix's policy, representation by all racial, gender groups. This is a fact, and something the article should point out. 47.157.55.17 (talk) 01:54, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Do you have a reliable source supporting this claim? BD2412 T 02:55, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Just curious
[edit]I haven't watched the new series yet, but I was wondering why David Trainer wasn't brought back to be the show's director. I believe Trainer directed every episode of That 70's Show except for the pilot episode, which was directed by Terry Hughes. 2601:C5:4200:44B0:6039:25C7:1295:F5E3 (talk) 02:33, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
Laurie Forman
[edit]The mention that Laurie Forman didn't come back because Lisa Robin Kelly passed away is invalid since in, season 6, the character had been recast with Christina Moore. Without further justification it would just be more accurate to not give a reason for Laurie to not re-appear. hub (talk) 18:06, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
