Rebels

[edit]

The following statement needs verification before it can be re-enterred into the article: Because of the ethnic rebels' present in the area, the people in Thantlang township facing different abuses of the Burmese military just as in all the other Chin State towns, like raping girls and women, and even many of the little girls, and also killing many of their young boys and men to hide their guilty. --Bejnar (talk) 02:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request Thantlang name change

[edit]

Even though I put my excerpts about the correct information of Thantlang in Burma main talk page, I would like to add more here. The title of this page should be changed to Thantlang Township because the word 'Htantlang' has been obscurely used by Government media as a result of transliteration from Chin language to Burmese language. Though this has been going on for quite sometime, the regional report made by Myanmar Information Management Unit in associations with UNDP and European Commission Humanitarian Aid shows it is correctly spelled. I believe the importance of this term was initiated into correct usage only after exposure to those foreign organizations.
