Fair use rationale for Image:Textures band pic.jpg
[edit]Image:Textures band pic.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Progressive?
[edit]I've seen them half a week ago. There was nothing proggy about them —Preceding unsigned comment added by Meddelhed (talk • contribs) 01:22, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Define 'proggy'. --87.212.121.166 (talk) 10:24, 22 October 2010 (UTC) They use a lot of poly rhythms and their strong structure is far from predictable.
Djent?
[edit]Textures is a Djent band; not only are they are they applying tech death metal, metalcore, groove metal, mathcore, experimental rock, and thrash metal--all in one. As you can notice, that Textures are very complex in nature. But back to this: Textures are Djent, here are the structures you need to be in order to be a Djent band:
- palm-muted, distorted sound - complex poly-rhythmic patterns in the drumming; it starts out with 4/4 pulse with an strong accent on the first beat of the bar, and then goes into odd time-signatures. - incorporate ambient, melodic passages - utilizing clean and chorused guitar and vocals. - very tow tunings and the use of 7 and 8 string guitars.
They do fit all of those descriptions that I just told you, but on Wikipedia--you can not have original research to your argument[s], so I will give you some links to show that Textures is a Djent band.

Sorry about that, I can only find 1 link that actually is reliable for Wikipedia. I do not think that Wikipedia will find the majority of the forum sites that were about mentioning Textures being Djent actually reliable. Are they? If so: just tell me. User:panicpack121 1:13, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Associated Acts
[edit]Uri Dijk recently started created a facebook page for his personal project called The Ulex. I'll be adding it as associated act. User:deadbuddy —Preceding undated comment added 15:42, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
