5/3/1963 extended south and east from FM 2173 to the San Antonio River
3/7/1969 loop completed
6/30/1977 redesignated Loop 1604

2/27/1958 designated I-10 at FM 1604 west and south to US 90
8/29/1958 extended south to FM 2173

Was from FM 471 in Lacoste south to US 81 (SH 132) at Lytle, then east and north via Somerset and Elmendorf to FM 78 at Schertz, then northwest to US 81 (I-10)
