Presidents
Feel free to help me clean up my situation and gaps. If you are at TLU, pleas take a 2nd to go in to the Beck Center and copy down the presidents and dates, and post them here. Thanks. Carl 04:14, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Well it looks like TLU is getting it first Female President, I have the name up latter. Carl 21:05, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Should I use the title of Rev. and Dr. for the last two presidents or keep the names like they all. I see how this is done at other universities. Carl 21:13, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Pictures, Please !
I know nuthin about uploading pix. But this page aches for pix.
Need photo of the Chapel, an indoor shot would also be nice. Martin Luther statue. A long row of blooming crape myrtles. Women's track & field winners. Centennial Hall, outside or inside.
Anything that parents and prospective students would like to see. LOL
My favorite would be Emma Frey Hall, 1930. One of the oldest and prettiest bldgs on campus. Spanish Colonial Revival, design by Marvin Eickenroht, local boy gone big time, that is, M.I.T. He also did the Saegert School just off Court St downtown. It looks like a sister to Emma Frey. Eichenroht also did the Texas Theatre.
Another architecturally noteworthy bldg is Langner Hall, by Atlee B Ayers, the most famous architect in San Antonio during the first half of the 20th century.
Hope someone can help.

Athletics
I believe the athletics section of Texas Lutheran University needs some major revisions.
The head coach for men's basketball is incorrect. The new coach is Jimmy Smith.
The section listing the number of sports is incorrect. TLU how has indoor men's track & field, outdoor men's track & field, and men's cross country. Also, TLU has continued to compete in indoor women's track and field. This brings the total number of sports to 18.
Also, football is not the "newest" sport at TLU. The Bulldogs have played football since 1912.
I propose these changes be made to the site, as it states the national championships that have been won and shows the dates of those championships. It also gives a complete list of the sports for men and for women.
Here is what I propose as an edition to the section with the appropriate edits in the existing portions (such as changing the name of the coach for men's basketball and eliminating the part about football being the newest sport):
TLU has won a total of 10 national championships in its years as a member of the NAIA and the NCAA. The list of TLU national championships includes:
- 1967 NAIA National Championship by John Bohmann in Men's Golf
- 1974 NAIA-II National Championship in Football
- 1975 NAIA-II National Championship in Football
- 1975 AIAW-II National Championship in Women's Volleyball
- 1976 AIAW-II National Championship in Women's Volleyball
- 1991 NAIA National Championship by Cameron Beckman in Men's Golf
- 1999 NAIA National Championship by Elizabeth Hoffman in Women's Golf
- 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship in Indoor Women's Track & Field (4x400 meter relay)
- 2008 NCAA Division III National Championship in Outdoor Women's Track & Field (4x100 meter relay)
- 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship in Outdoor Women's Track & Field (Long Jump, Briana Aiken)
From the transition into NCAA Division III in 1999 through the start of the 2013-14 seasons, the Bulldogs have produced:
- 38 NCAA Division III National Top 10 Finishes
- 19 Conference Championships
- 19 Division Championships
- 42 NCAA Division III Championship Appearances
- 89 Playing All-Americans
- 21 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-Americans
With the addition of men's cross country, men's indoor track and field and men's outdoor track and field for the 2014-15 athletics seasons, TLU will have nine men's sports and nine women's sports at the varsity level for NCAA Division III. The complete list for TLU intercollegiate sports by 2014-15 will include:
Women's Sports (9)
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Cross Country
- Basketball
- Softball
- Indoor Track and Field
- Outdoor Track and Field
- Golf
- Tennis
Men's Sports (9)
- Soccer
- Cross Country
- Football
- Basketball
- Indoor Track and Field
- Outdoor Track and Field
- Baseball
- Golf
- Tennis
TLU started its transition from the NAIA and the NCAA Division II in 1999 and made the official transition into NCAA Division III for the 2002-03 athletics seasons.
The Bulldogs played as member of the NAIA up to the 2001-02 athletics seasons and had dual membership in the NAIA and NCAA Division II from 1996 to 2002.

- I'm glad you are willing to update the article, but you cannot copy and paste it from the website per WP:COPYPASTE. I'd be willing to help you out too. I have thought about creating a separate article for the athletics, but haven't decided to yet. There will also need to be sources other than from the school/athletics website.
