12 Liberty Ships to be sunk?
[edit]Kind of hard when theres less than half that still in existance. Its ashame Wikipedia users don't check their facts.
- It says "WWII era" ships, not "Liberty ships". Gatoclass (talk) 05:10, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Ship's caption
[edit]I suggest that the ship's caption be recast. The caption seems to imply that we are looking at a picture of a ship that is waiting to be sunk as an artifical reef. Published documentation indicates extensive modifications were made before sinking such as cutting down the funnel, masts and kingposts, and creating many openings in the hull and superstructure. This picture was taken before any of these modifications were made. While the ship may have actually been waiting for sinking, I think the main point of the caption should be about the ship, not about its fate.
