Intro needs more

I think intro paragraph needs to explain that "a students ranking is a number between 0 and 100 that indicates the percentage of school leavers for that year that are below that student." Hows to wording/accuracy of that sound? -- humbug88 (talk) 13:50, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TER in NSW

The article currently doesn't mention the fact that New South Wales used a TER prior to the UAI -- I believe the switch was in 1998. The NSW TER was a score between 0 and 100 from 1990 to 1998, and prior to that was out of 500; I don't know all the details though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.148.249.72 (talk) 04:44, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
