maintenance tags

What needs to be done to remove the maintenance tags? Based on the information I could find, these tags were meant to be temporary and whomever adds the tags should include a way to rectify the situation.

Concerning paid contributions. The user who was accused of making paid contributions by changing the url to the subjects legal name has been banned without possibility of reinstatement and therefore is not making any contributions. In my opinion that takes care of the "paid contribution" tag.

Concerning the notability issue, I have reviewed the subject through a simple Google search and came up with a list of over 40 quality references confirming the facts stated within this page. Based on wikipedia's guidelines, there is no issue of notability.

I am suggesting that these maintenance tags be removed or that proper direction on what additional steps need to be taken to get them removed be provided.

Per this admission, I'd say the paid-editing tag still applies until the page is overhauled by someone without a COI. The page history suggests that Lupinnoble90 and H46dude are likely the paid editors in question. Notability is questionable as well; per WP:BIO, I failed to find very few in depth coverage of the subject. Most of the sources that qualify as WP:RS mention him in passing regarding his involvement with baseball teams. OhNoitsJamie ^Talk 22:59, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The page is a travesty of what a Wikipedia article should be, and the tags should remain until that is fully dealt with. I've added some of the more obviously connected contributors above; I don't know how much value there would be in adding the IPs as well. Clarification for questions of books and authorship

After doing some serious digging, I found an explanation for the questions of authorship regarding the books mentioned within the page. The subject legally changed his name from Ronald Reagan to Terry Reagan Allvord in 2014. Depending on the source distributing the books, the names are different. Some sources have the books under Terry Allvord and others under Ronald Reagan. It appears as though he is the process of switching everything over based on the mixed info I have found. I'm not sure how that works on Wikipedia but I do believe that's culprit behind the confusion. Indeed, some clarification would be good. Of the three books listed, only one appears to have an ISBN. Amazon is a commercial site which lists (more or less) anything offered to it, and cannot be considered a reliable source. There's no mention of Allvord, nor of any of the three books attributed to him, on VIAF. There's no mention of Allvord, nor of any of the three books attributed to him, in the catalogue of the Library of Congress. I'm not familiar with the publishing house Mascot Books, but I do note that on its website it welcomes enquiries about "publishing options that work for you", so it appears to be a vanity publisher. Article title

Since this person is called "Terry Allvord" in all the sources currently in the article, I suggest moving the page to that name. Unless there's opposition here (?) I'll probably go about that in a day or two. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:37, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
